OK, then. Let me ask the question another way: what actions and products can informal groups or individuals produce to make the most of Unitarian Universalist resources. There’s has to be an alternative to official committees or more independent affiliates (which have high costs of creation and operation).
As you can imagine, I’m prone to make the most of Internet driven services because they can be accomplished without its participants travelling and the products can very often be self-selected by the user.
I’m thinking of worship resources in blogs, historical transcription in wikis, server-side church administration managed by a small group for small churches, and open-licenced clip art and news service sites for newsletters for starters. (Does anyone use blog texts in church newsletters? There are licensing opportunities there.)
This may be relevant: the little-known independent UU publication — the UU Voice — is now online at http://www.uuvoice.org/
Little known indeed. Perhaps not to the usual readers of this blog, but I have mixed feelings about it. It tends to get a lot of matters right, but with no real plan for correcting perceived errors. I don’t want to repeat that.
I like the idea of Interenet based resources.
Frankly, Free ad copy would be good
indeed you would think free ads (both print and tv) would already be offered to congregations
Does the “Church on Loan” program do anything similar to what you’re asking?
