I would normally not talk about family matters, but my paternal grandmother died today. It seems more unseemly to ignore the day. Please spare a prayer for Mary if you do that sort of thing.
We though we had more time with her than we did, but I am so proud of her self-determined decision making around her health care. It seems she prepared for her death in ways that saved her family confusion. Let her rest in peace.
Oh, and smokers, you can stop right now.
Scott,
I’m very sorry for your loss.
Our church is doing a short series of seminars on how to deal with death, and planning and preparing for it can be so important for everyone.
Paul
So sorry to hear this, Scott.
Scott,
My prayers are with you and your family. Losing a grandparent is never easy.
Peace,
Craig
May she rest in peace,
May her dwelling be in Eternal Light,
And may she rise in glory.
And Scott… may the Lord grant you peace, this day, tommorrow, and forever.

Very sorry to hear this. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
I appreciate the many kind and prayerful words, here and sent in private.
I’m planning a short series to highlight the decisions my grandmother and others make, and how these are good for the soul and those whom they leave behind.
Dear Scott,
I am saddened to read of your grandmother’s death. There’s an empty place inside after this, I know.
May God be with you and your family through this trial. May the love that each of you felt bring you even closer together. Love endures.
God’s peace unto you and all those you love,
Larry
Prayers for your grandmother, your family, and you, Scott.
