Of all the vestment makers out there, I think Wippell’s is my favorite. (Not that I have any of their gear, but the Boy can dream.) They’ve had a website for ages: a backwards, nearly useless website. At last they’ve gotten parts of their catalog scanned and up as PDF files. (But as always, no prices.) That’s a start, and a guide to good taste for clergy. Download away.
But you were supposed to chastise me for recommending albs! Where’s the chastisement! Bring it on!
I’m working up to it!
I’m sure this is old news to many out there, but http://www.womenspirit.com/ is so good for clergy clothes for women. I love love love my Sarah robe http://womenspirit.com/product_info.php?cPath=2&products_id=6. I have it in black and might get it in white if I someday need a non-black robe.
Hi,
We making all kinds of syrian orthodox vestments wit high quality and cheaper rate
I’m allowing the prior commercial posting, given the rarity of such a site.
Wippell’s is excellent and has done a great deal of work for my church but you should look at Patrick Boylan’s wonderful designs at Grace Vestments in New York (www.gracevestments.com) and that of Holly Starling of TwoDog Vestments in Atlanta (www.twodog.com). Both web-sites have teriffic pictures of their work.
