People who know me know I lived my high school years near Augusta, Georgia. I do not like Augusta.
But I saw some good news about it. A former pharmaceutical plant will now produce fuel ethanol from cellulose. I suspect the stock will come as a by-product from Georgia’s tree farm industry. That, rather than ethanol from corn looks like a more sustainable solution for liquid automotive fuel.
Plus, the company uses a pre-existing facility which makes environmental and economic sense. OK, that’s good news. (I would prefer transit-oriented development, but take good news where you can get it.)
