Joan Crawford-in-Chief?

Well, the AP has called the Virginia senate race for Jim Webb (D), citing unnamed Allen (R) sources who have realized the numbers cannot shift enough make a Republican win possible.

I am pretty happy with the Democratic takeover and the Rummy Drop. As I commented before, I don't believe there's any real increase in liberal sentiment, so won't overstate my pleasure. Relief, if anything, sums up my feelings and the seven anti-gay state initiatives hurt. Expected, but hurtful.

Hubby and I were watching the President's news conference today, and admitted a moment's pleasure watching him squirm and him making the dig against Carl Rove. But Hubby and I gave each other a double-take when the President said, "This isn't my first rodeo." Wha'!?

A question to the gay men out there and the women who love them: Did you get a flashback to the Pepsi boardroom scene from Mommie Dearest? What world are we living in?

  1. We are living in a world with “no wire hangers!!!” One in which we ought to “Tear down that BITCH of a bearing wall and put a window where it OUGHT to be.”

OK, I’ll stop now; the Clown Faced One is starting to burn an image in my mind…

  2. My God, I thought the next line was going to be,

    “WHyyyy did you elect me?

    WHY DID YOU ELECT ME!!?”

And then there would be this mad tussel on the floor where Bush would have to show a flash of his white panties.

  3. Don’t you mean “Why can’t you give me the respect that I’m entitled to? Why can’t you treat me like I would be treated by any Republican on the street?”
