Sometimes, the best ideas come at the last minute.
- Does your Christmas Eve services attract worshipers who’ve already tied one on? Perhaps you can give out candy before the service. See at the BBC, “Lollipops to stop noisy revellers” and “Pub lollipops making right noises.” Hat tip to Richard Layman at Rebuilding Place in the Urban Space. (Of course, if I was the minister, I would ask pointed questions about their transportation, but in the city would suspect they’re walking.)
- No tree? No problem. Apartment Therapy has an easy and attractive 2D alternative.

I find the paper tree sort of depressing.
That said, I saw a really nifty tree once that was made of peices of pipe soldered into a modernist, tree-esque shape. TheCSO and I always do Christmas in his parents’ city so we don’t need a tree, but we’ve thought of building that just for kicks sometime.
Happy Christmas!
