It seems there is still money to be made by registering Internet domains and selling them to people who didn’t get there first. That’s how my former pastorate got universalist.org — a clever early-acquirer in the congregation –Â but why the other universalist.* domains are held in a useless limbo by someone I suspect doesn’t like Universalism very much.
I got unitarianuniversalist.org ages ago so that some outside interest — particularly an anti-Universalist entity — couldn’t. Have done much with it and it’s dormant now, but at least it is in friendly hands. The only time the UUA seemed interested in buying up “nearby” domains was during the American Unitarian Association/Conference bruhaha and all they registered have since lapsed? Anyone want AmericanUnitarianAssociation.org, .net or .com? They’re all available. This seems to be a job for UU bloggers.
Check out the expired domains at whois.net. Search by unitarian and universalist. You’ll see some things open you never imagined could still be available.
Unitarianuniversalists.org and .com `
will be pointing at the Chaliceblog by tonight.
Thanks for the tip!
