Today is All Souls Day, but let me let you in on a secret: I’m especially happy today because Hubby and I are going to see Morrissey in concert tonight.
I know there are other Morrissey and The Smiths fans out there: what are your favorite songs? Comment away. I’ll chime in if others do.
I loved several songs on “Louder than Bombs”, including “Sheila Take a Bow”, ‘Sweet and Tender Hooligan”, and “You Just Haven’t Earned it Yet, Baby”.
The Queen Is Dead really affected me as a young man. Gosh, that was a long time ago. I seemed to like Morrissey’s Ringleader of the Tormentors more than most last year. My favorite from that album: “You Have Killed Me.”
Ha, ha bring the tissues for all the sobbing that will be going on around you. If I was a fan Girlfriend in a Coma would be my favorite. Have a good time.
Hank, it’s serious. (A Smiths in-joke.) “Girlfriend in a Coma” is one of my faves. Also, “Suedehead,” “Every Day Is like Sunday” and “There Is a Light that Never Goes Out.” Among the less common, “William, It Was Really Nothing” “A Rush and a Push and the Land Will Be Ours” and “The Night Has Opened My Eyes”.
I have to confess that I am the son, and the heir, of a shyness that is criminally vulgar; would anyone like to have some greased tea with me?
God I’m ancient…
FWIW, Moz sang none of the ones on my list, nor Mystical Seeker’s but did sing “How Soon Is Now?” which NDM quotes.
Please, please, please. Let me get what I want!
How was the show?
