Not much blogging in this quarter: I moved to WordPress, Hubby and I moved apartments and we got broadband, all of which took a toll. And a lot of what did go on was transcribed Universalist texts, which would be better reviewed later.

I know the canonical explanation of the flaming chalice: that most common liturgical practice in Unitarian Universalist churches. It has to do with Jan Hus, and the Unitarian Service Committee and all that. But that flaming chalice was a print image. Something happened that brought it into three dimensions, and made it a liturgical standard.

While getting The Cornerstone online, I’ve gone back to find websites that link places mentioned in the book, and thus are of note in Universalist history. “Universalist London” (Georgian Nonconformist London, really) is — as far as I can tell — concentrated in Moorfields and a small slice of Whitechapel.
